Reporting- Growth Analysis
This is an overview of the Growth Summary report
Before we get into the report – please note that this can be accessed two ways, either through the post-analysis reports under the Integrity Compliance module or from the reports tab by selecting growth analysis. If you access the report from the integrity compliance module, it will generate the growth analysis report based on the segment selected. However, if you access the report under the reporting module you will first be prompted to select a system name and unit of measure.
The great thing about this report is it is powered by Microsoft Power BI which means it is interactive.
The Growth Analysis summary dashboard provides an overview of growth by surface area done through percentages, an anomaly growth summary, maximum anomaly growth by assessment, anomaly growth by odometer, and finally anomaly count by orientation.
Now to dig a little deeper we are going to click on the growth by anomaly tab. Here you are able to see all the assessments that have been completed under the system. You will see that the data shown is defaulted to the most recent assessment loaded.
Here, you can take a look at the current max depth rate against any previous matched or aligned anomaly. This is significant because you are able to see a growth rate on every identified anomaly. You are able to see a growth rate that is derived from all matched anomalies since CIM is looking at 100% percent of the data rather than filtered out data. This table truly depicts the power of data science and machine learning.
Another key feature of this report is the ability to drill down to a single anomaly level by right-clicking on any row and selecting “drill through” anomaly detail.
You will be taken to another screen view where you can take advantage of the 3D pipe-viewer to review the anomaly in detail with assessment over assessment data visually depicted.
Also, if latitude and longitude data points were included in the ILI report, you will also see the anomaly depicted on a map view as shown on the lower right side of the dashboard. You are able to zoom in and out to see where the anomaly is geographically situated.
Finally, the growth by pipe joint dashboard is similar to the growth by anomaly report. Here you will see growth rate volumes, growth rate wall thickness, etc. by individual joint. You are able to see how many features there are by individual joint. The value in this report is to quickly decide on which pipe joint excavations will address the largest number of anomalies per joint.
We have now covered a quick overview of the Growth analysis report in Cognitive Integrity Management.
