Reporting– PHMSA Yearly Report and Part F&G Report
This is an overview of the PHMSA Yearly and Part F&G report.
Before we get into the reports please note that this particular report may require data points from PODS, UPDM or APDM or data to be entered into the System Management module within CIM.
The purpose of the reports is to generate the PHMSA Yearly and Parts F&G as required by annual regulatory requirements.
The major benefit to both the PHMSA Yearly and Part F&G report is that they are generated in Cognitive Integrity Management with the simple click of a button. This is because these reports are automatically being created in the backend and updated as more data is ingested throughout the year including repair data. This report would previously require an integrity management team to manually input data into a report and coordinate with other departments. This often takes several weeks if not months.
First, let’s take a look at the PHMSA Yearly Report
Please note that when loaded, the report will default to the previous year. To generate a report for the current year, state/province, interstate, product, operator, route status, and finally regulatory, simply use the filters along the top of the report. Once ready simply click show report – the great thing is you are able to slice and dice the report by the fields we just listed so this makes the report quite dynamic.
Now let’s jump into the Part F&G Report
You can slice and dice this report the same as the yearly report. As you can see, we are able to manipulate the information to support any region or year that you would like to generate the report for.
This automated report also functions as a great validation tool for the integrity department as it allows for you to compare ILI assessments created, analysis completed in CIM in addition to the collection of repair information. This centralizes all the data entered which removes the requirement to rely on spreadsheets to do this check.
These reports can easily be exported to excel, saved as a PDF or word document to distributed across departments.
We have now covered a quick overview of the PHMSA Yearly and PHMSA F&G report in Cognitive Integrity Management.
